MEDICINE

I am a staff paediatrician at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. In addition to my adolescent medicine clinic, I am part of the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Clinic and also practice in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

I also work at the health services clinic at  Covenant House Toronto, Canada's largest shelter for youth, and Evergreen, the drop-in medical clinic part of the Yonge Street Mission, a community organization focused on helping marginalized populations such as new immigrants/refugees and those who are homeless or under-housed.

For the past 9 years I have been volunteering with Dreams Take Flight, an organization that brings children who have faced challenges in their lives, whether medical, mental, physical, social, or emotional to Disney World for an amazing, but exhausting, one day trip lasting just under 24 hours. I'm usually awake for 30 hours but it's worth it every year.

I was valedictorian at my medical school graduation from the University of British Columbia. I completed my general paediatrics residency and then a social paediatrics fellowship (blind children, LGBTQ youth) while Chief Resident at the Montreal Children's Hospital (McGill University) in Montreal, Quebec. I completed my adolescent medicine fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children (University of Toronto) in Toronto, Ontario.
